TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. You will be entered into the promotion by logging onto the promotion website over the period 21 June 2010 to 20 July 2010, playing the “Sunshine Exchange” game, and registering your details. Entry is available to Australian residents only.
2. All game participants will be entered into a random draw for a Sunlover Holidays voucher valued at $500. The top 50 highest scorers will also be entered into a draw for a Sunlover Holidays voucher valued at $1000.
3. The drawing of all prizes will be conducted at Tourism Queensland, Level 10 Tourism Queensland House, 30 Makerston Street, Brisbane, on Wednesday, 21st July 2010 at 12.00pm. The winners will be notified by email and the names of the prize winners will also be published on www.queenslandholidays.com.au/competitions immediately following the draw.
4. The Sunlover Holidays vouchers may only be used for holidays in Queensland, Australia. Sunlover Holidays voucher terms and conditions apply. Refer to the voucher for details.
5. Brisbane residents who play the online game and register their details and are also part of a family comprised of two adults and up to two school aged children (5-18 years of age), will also be entered into a draw for the major prize consisting of:
(i) Qantas international economy class airfares for 2 adults and 2 children from Brisbane to Shanghai;
(ii) 5 nights accommodation in Shanghai;
(iii) VIP tickets to the Australian Pavilion event on 20 August 2010 at World Expo, Shanghai 2010;
(iv) One day family entry to World Expo 2010;
(v) Shanghai day tours;
(vi) Airport transfers;
(vii) AUD$600 cash.
6. The winner of the major prize must be able to travel to Shanghai over the period 18th to 22nd August 2010. All personal expenses shall be responsibility of the prize winner and his or her travel companions. The cash prize is intended to cover items of a personal nature including but not limited to meals, spending money, entertainment, phone calls, beverages, laundry, etc.
7. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable or redeemable for cash. If the prize is not claimed within two weeks of the draw, a redraw of the prize will take place on 5 August 2010.
8. Any costs relating to alterations to confirmed details, where applicable, will be at the expense of the prize winner. This includes but is not limited to changing dates of flights.
9. Travel insurance is not provided and Tourism Queensland recommends the prize winner and all travel companions obtain comprehensive travel insurance including medical coverage (at their own expense) prior to travel.
10. Entrants must be eligible for a short term tourist visa to China. For visa information visit http://brisbane.chineseconsulate.org/eng/lsfw/qz/. The prize winner and travel companions must arrange and pay for their own tourist visa to China prior to travel. Tourism Queensland will not be held responsible for any visas that are not approved prior to the travel date resulting in inability to travel. Ineligibility to obtain a visa results in cancellation of the prize and re-draw.
11. Tourism Queensland shall be entitled to cancel the holiday prize and itinerary without notice should the prize winner or their travel companions engage in any inappropriate, illegal or immoral behaviour, use excessive alcohol, artificial stimulants or illegal drugs, or act in any manner which brings Tourism Queensland or any person or organisation involved in the promotion into public disrepute. By submitting an entry, all entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
12. Participants may enter once only. Tourism Queensland reserves the right in its absolute discretion to disqualify:
(i) any entries that tamper with, or attempt to tamper with the entry process;
(ii) any entries that Tourism Queensland considers manipulative, unrepresentative, or disproportionate;
(iii) any individuals found entering who corrupt or affect, or attempt to corrupt or affect, the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the entry process.
13. Employees and Directors of Tourism Queensland, or agencies associated with the promotion, and their immediate families, are ineligible to enter the promotion.
14. Each entrant releases and indemnifies Tourism Queensland against all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of the prize or participation in the promotion including (but not limited to) personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.
15. By accepting the prize, the winner and the winner’s travel companions agree that Tourism Queensland may use their name, likeness, appearance, voice and biographical information for its promotional and publicity purposes.
16. The prize winner and his or her travel companions will be required to undertake a series of promotional activities at the discretion of Tourism Queensland including but not limited to:
(i) Attending the VIP event at the Australian Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo 2010;
(ii) Participating in media interviews and promotional opportunities;
(iii) Participation in School and trade visit;
(iv) Meet and greet with the wining family from Shanghai.
17. Tourism Queensland’s decision concerning any aspect of this promotion is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
18. All participants will be subscribed to receive email communications from Tourism Queensland.
